This avoids the previous vulnerability where enabling plotting could display very old orbits if they had not been downloaded recently. With this version a fresh set of TLEs is downloaded any time Inmarsat plotting is enabled.

Packet decoding from Inmarsat satellite with SDRSharp-HDSDR-Tekmanoid-Jaero-Planeplotter-VRS software and others. Previous versions of PlanePlotter downloaded the satellite ephemerides for the Inmarsat satellites only when Inmarsat plotting was enabled when the program was opened. Inmarsat decoding STD-C EGC Messages ACARS ADSB Jaero Planeplotter Satcomm has 594 members. Old versions of PP will plot the new CPDLC fixes in red as an unknown report type.

Position reports originating in CPDLC messages are encoded as report type 22 in View.Aircraft and such plots are colour coded as chocolate in View.Chart. The same downlink also carries CPDLC traffic from aircraft and this release of PlanePlotter makes use of those messages when they give positions for the aircraft. The optional display of Inmarsats has been pruned to show only the four satellites that are currently delivering the traffic that we monitor (Alphasat, 3F5, 4F1, 4F3).įor some time, PlanePlotter has been able to process the Inmarsat downlink from Jaero that carries ADS-C traffic and plain language ACARS traffic. I have been able to get a better indoor signal (see below), but the signal strength pictured above is pretty typical right now. However, all I had to do was take the setup outdoors (see 3.1) and it outperformed the 10-turn helix. Please don't write to me about it write to your security system provider and ask them to make their program smarter. People on hearsat told me that a dish setup was the very best, but after this kind of performance I was in doubt. Be aware that an increasing number of security systems treat any new file as a threat without any justification except that it is new. If you have a version-specific firewall (eg Zone Alarm), you may have to reassure it that the new version is permitted to access the Internet.

If you post a message complaining that the web site is still pointing to an earlier version, you pay a forfeit! 192.168.1.27:9742 - this is the i.p address of your computer that is running planeplotter - planeplotter will only show the acars messages and plot any position reports. You may need to exercise your browser Refresh function to force it to show you the new version of the PlanePlotter web page. PlanePlotter version 6.4.7.9 is on the web site today.
